The Faustine Chronicles [I]: The Book of Fate

The Universal Seven - Fate, Time, Chance, Luck, Death, Nature and Chaos - are celestial beings with an apocalypse to avert.

The plan, orchestrated by Fate, involves a fallen angel turned waitress, a blood-drinking sadist with a penchant for impalement, a vengeful warrior and a rags-to-riches orphan boy.

Undeterred by mortal trifles like 'morality', Fate puts Her grand plan in motion with the help of brutal slavers, supernatural wolves, several tragic deaths and, of course, psychopathic faeries. The die is cast and the stage is set; now all Fate needs to do is visit some poor scribe in a vision and get him to write it all down.

That would be where I come in.

My name is Nicodemus, and I'd just like to say that I although I've asked a lot of probing questions in my time, I never asked for this. Not that anyone cares, apparently.

The Faustine Chronicles [II]: The Book of Time

Once upon a time, a child was born with the power of Death. Once upon a time, another was born to wear a cursed crown. Once upon a time, Nicodemus Basir was told to write it down...

Caught up in the chaos of the Gueldan Conquest and plagued by faeries and witchcraft, Elsa and her four children must fight for survival just as Kristof the Impaler fights for his king, his country and the honour of his House... But, with the sinister faeries of the Unseelie Hunt riding out to free the Shadows, a Faerie Queen with a penchant for abducting and possessing children on the loose, and a bitter Gueldan girl who will stop at nothing to get her lands back, the von Hisses are in more danger than they think.

Tick. Tick. Tick.

The Faustine Chronicles [III]: The Book of Chance

[In progress]

Chance and his conjoined twin, Luck, take Nicodemus on a journey through time and space, to record the momentous events in history that, until now, have been forgotten.

In the Dark Ages, two half-brothers, both cursed, struggle to make their way in the world. As a strange red comet hurtles to earth, both realise that the future of their world depends upon which of them finds it first.

A thousand years later, the world is on the brink of war and destruction. As her blood-drinking, sadistic father sets his sights on conquering the whole of the North, Tatiana Faustine is supposed to be entering into a marital alliance with the neighbouring kingdom - but when her escort is attacked by mysterious creatures, she finds herself fighting a war of her own.

Only Tatiana's brother Yury is powerful enough to save the world - and to do so, he must travel back to the Dark Ages and do battle with his own ancestor to close the cracks in time and space. Meanwhile, Tatiana finds allies in a mysterious dracomancer and a warrior chieftainess, all caught in the web of intrigue and war as her father sets about his plans of domination.
